As a south side Chicago kid that grew up taking welfare and food stamps I know that what Obama plans is a train wreck that steals dreams and hopes
I know as a kid that food stamps and welfare do not work...I had a mom that taught us pride first! I was told that no handout will ever bring you success in life. Now with that said lets take a real look at Obamanomics.
2. Spreading wealth in short means someone other then the business owner or person that earned the income will decide how it is best spread around. It assumes that people can only get by in life if Robin Hood (Obama) steals and then gives. In short it's a short term bandaid that mis-leads the person getting the gift into thinking government will always have a few crumbs to give the little guys.
3. Obamanomics assumes thats we can't help being poor, or having less then the rich person does. That life does not rward hard work, ideas and drive. That it's all luck of the draw and Uncle Sugar has the even the score. Saying rich is bad and building a false notion that you're poor because of the other guy.
4. It will fail! You can't just keep taking to give $500 and $1000 checks once a year and expect that the business person making it possible will keep working for others. You also can't pull anyone out that won't work and dream big because you paid them a $1000 extra each year.
In short Obamanomics is a policy of failure not the hope it portends to be. Anyone can steral from someone, then pretend to be a hero by giving it someone else not as well off. In the end it's still just theft! Set gaols, dream big and belive you can fly. Make your way in life not let anyone tell you that you need a handout and only they can save you. The minute you realize that you are better then the lie thats been told to you. That you are great, you can succeed and you and no one else controls your dreams you'll already be rich!
Call me "Vic the Veteran", but know this. Not since the beginning of time has anyone lived well off the handouts of others. Freedom is not free and there are no free lunchs!

Top-level comments on this article: (4 total)WOW. I'm am glad that we do have a choice in life; to either agree or disagree; and I see you have used that to persuade your opinion onto others. Inwhich I am thankful that [they] have a choice not to be persuaded.
Choice is the key. Won't get much of that if he wins I can promise that!Dear Victor: I couldn't agree with you more on the give, give, give tactics. Let's come out and say it: this is a method to buy votes. Democrats have always used it. If we take enough from those who achieve and give it to those who can but don't work, we get a huge voter bloc every election cycle. The longer we keep these voters at the nipple, and the more sucklings we recruit (and Acorn registers), the longer we can stay in office. The only reason it isn't more effective for the Democrats is that these people look around year after year at their plight and realize it doesn't work for them and it doesn't work for our nation. Look at welfare recipients. Those who finally get out and work for themselves, enjoy the American dream. Those who rely on the Democratic handout, barely subsist year after year, and the only time the Dems pay any attention to their welfare crew is at election time. And the last thing Dems truly want is for these welfare addicts to get out and succeed. Those few who do succeed become Republicans and vote for opportunity, not handout.God bless you, Victor. I don't follow American politics that much, but what you have written somehow describes a political party we have in Canada, called the New Democratic Party (NDP). Luckily they have never been voted federally, but they have at times been in power in the provinces of British Columbia and Saskatchewan. For many years British Columbia was lead by the Social Credit party and the province was very strong and wealthy. When the NDP took control they almost bankrupted the province; now the Liberal Party is in charge and things are much better. The NDP was in control in Saskatchewan for many, many years and that province was going nowhere. People would always move away from that province, so that it had an average population of 700,000, a lot of those being Canadian Natives (First Nations). The province was always poor, but finally the Conservative Party took control. Now the economy is bustling like the province of Alberta, which has had the Conservative Party for many years.Spending the taxpayers money on handouts does not work. The NDP have proven that.
Vic, I like the Robin Hood analogy; I think it's a great way to describe what is happening. Again government believes it's smarter than the average working guy in determining the best way to spend money. Well that's worked out SO well, hasn't it? Social security, war financing, government contracts...I don't need to go on. Thanks for sharing this, Vic.
